My country tis of thee
Why go so hurriedly?
No time to sit and chat
While doing this and that
We take no one to heart
With our dear time, won’t part
Listening on the run
Or living just for fun
Barely keeping in touch
We’re back and forth too much
Never stopping to rest
Or wish people our best
Someday we’ll sit and weep
When loved ones fall asleep
We can’t by email go
To say a quick “hello”
Or text our deepest love
To those who’ve gone above
All will be lonely then
And we’ll miss what may have been
So ends this sad lament
Vexation is all spent
God help our freedom’s child
Slow down and stay a while
This thoughtful poem was sent to me,
To post on my blog anonymously.
Much love,
Viv
That’s very moving!

Christy should not want her work to be anonymousā¦.sheās absolutely on point and amazing. Iām from the 80ās generation where us ladies in a single decade, at the very least depleted the ozone layer at least a smidge with our overuse of oversized cans of aqua net hairsprayā¦ā¦.my parents were pretty cool with that figuring like with any trend my use of the dreaded stuff would fizzle out sooner hopefully rather than later, but Lord help us chirren if we disrespected the flag or our elders or our neighbors that was grounds for opening an actual giant can of whompdy doošā£ļø

I agree, but it’s not Christy who wrote it although she did like it. I only wish the person who wrote this would let me say their name but they told me I could only post if anonymous and since they are my rock in life, I can’t risk upsetting them or going against their wishes. I too am from that generation, I love the music!!! Haha!! Yes, my hairspray use was over the top. My best friend was grounded once by having her hairspray taken away for three days!! You can imagine our 13 year old horrors as she and I got through that!! Thank you for liking this poem and I’ll tell the person who wrote it you did!!! Blessings to youš¤š

I understand that, Iāve been blogging for almost 3 months and Iāve just told some of the ones I interact with the most frequently that my name is Staci to some of the ladies Iām beginning to have friendly relationships with and of course sweet droll Billy Mac and hopefully you…..the fact that I can get on her and talk to someone that knows EXACTLY what emotion Iām struggling with before I ever open my mouth. Itās comforting somehow to know that Iām truly not alone. Well please be sure to tell Christy that she does amazingly heartfelt work and that he/she should not hide their beautiful light under a bushel. Sometimes darkness is the only emotion that many with BPD struggle with the most. Having a light in our darkness is the most comforting thing in the whole worldā¤ļø xo

Awww, yes! It’s wonderful being able to talk with others and relate. It makes a world of difference. And feeling that others listen and understand too!! I’m glad you are finding close connections and enjoying meaningful conversations… blogging has such a deeper and realness to it. I sure will tell the person this poem touched your heart. It blesses me so much that it did! I’m so glad you are finding lights in the dark times! God bless you tonight and big hugs!! You are not alone!š¤ā¤

Thank you so much, Vivian.
It could be coincidence or the fates or preordained but my VERY beloved gran passed at the end of May 2018. She was my mentor and my very best friend. Her name was Vivianā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø. Sweet dreams my new, more than likely lifelong friend. Ha! Youāre stuck with mešššš
