      1. Oh, thank you dear Ana!! This reminds me of Romans 8:28, “And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to those that love God…” God bless you for encouraging my heart and for glorifying Him through your powerful testimony.πŸ€—

  1. Walk on and trust! That’s it! Excellent! We always want answers – demand it, we want to use our intelligence to understand things, we want to use logic, when in fact none of that is needed! Don’t use it, just trust that the Lord is guiding you into the right direction.

      1. Many hugs to you Vivian! Thank you! Whatever projects you have in your heart, contemplate on that, and see which is worth pursuing at this time – today. Life is definitely tough for us, but your tougher! You truly are! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ½

      2. Hugs back Ana!! I’m so impressed by your store! Such lovely work you do!! I’m struggling to do much today but I’ve almost completed a crocheted hoodie scarf for a friend…..I will email you a link to my Pinterest so you can see some of my previous work. 3. Thank you Vivian for visiting the store. I’m struggling to keep it fresh with new designs but I’m trying to schedule days I’m working on that and on the blog, alternating the days. I think that’s best. I need to work with how my body is doing and that can set me back a bit.
I’m so happy you’re crocheting for a friend – hope you’re charging 😏 I think that if you could sell the one you’re doing and maybe do a few more, you can put them up for sale for Christmas time. Let your friends and family know about it and give them the price.
Yes, please do! I’d love to see them! 😊

      4. I was really impressed by it Ana! Such lovely designs and colors.😍 It must be challenging to keep up on a regular basis. Your idea got my wheels turning and I think I will accept the challenge because if I begin now, I can pace myself and not get caught up in Christmas frenzy. Last Christmas I was able to make a couple orders for boot cuffs and baby bunting with hat but it wasn’t easy. I’m a bit stronger now…
I am not charging for the scarf because it’s for a close friend as a gift. She suffers from seizures and migraines so I try to send care packages to cheer her up. I’ll definitely email some creations to you. 😍 big hugs!!πŸ€—πŸ€—

      5. Yes, definitely do that! Pace yourself and maybe set a goal, set days, and work as your body allows.

Thats so sweet of you to do for your friend!

Its tough for me to let more of my family and friends know about my online store because it reminds me of what Steve Harvey had said about business and family and friends. They all want a discount, they all want something for free and at the end, they will be the ones to bring your business to the ground. So, I’m trying to get out there, but without social media, it looking to be a bit difficult. Social media seems to be the driving force behind a lot of things, I’m just trying not to get tempted and going that route.

      6. I’m dreadful at organization due to my TBI, but as I heal that too is coming around. I should do like you and pick craft days and blog days…..my jumbled brain tries to do everthing at once.πŸ˜‰

You’ve raised a good point about business to family and friends……I still have several unpaid losses I just had to get over. I learned to set prices and stick with them. That was the hardest thing……just saying the scarf is $25 and not budging no matter if it was a close friend or stranger. I often wonder how many only purchased from me thinking I’d give them a deal…..but honestly, if I didn’t sell to family and friends I wouldn’t have sold much at all. There’s just too much competition and so many other shops. I have been praying about an Etsy store……

      7. Yes, definitely pace yourself. I’ve had to choose what day’s to do what, between feeling sick, the kids going back to school, homework, the blog and the online shop, it’s a lot! Haha! Setting days and trying hard to stick to them, is a must for me.

Etsy would be a great option as they tailor to handmade items – definitely continue to pray on it. I’ve purchased multiple hand made items for end of the year teachers gifts. And maybe put something on your blog for a ‘made to order’ button? With some pictures of prior work you’ve done, your email for point of contact. That’d be great Vivian. Made to order items, I personally think would work for you, as they’d motivate you to do them and it’s a guarantee purchase.

  2. Amen! That says it! We don’t always understand the paths God takes us on, because we can’t see the Big Picture. We don’t understand his timing, either. But, he has a plan and a purpose for it all. We just have to wait on him and trust Him no matter what comes our way, for he will never let us down. He will never abandon us. He is always thinking of what is best for us. For he is always working, even when we can’t see what he is doing, and he is going to work all things for the good of us who love him and who have been called according to HIS purposes. For His good doesn’t always feel good at the time, but he is working to produce a harvest of righteousness in the life of the one who trusts him and who surrenders to him.

    1. Sue, what a truly beautiful comment tonight!! Thank you for reminding me that even though I can’t see the big picture, my heavenly Father does and will carry me to the end. Total surrender to His plan is always the best place to be. Romans 8:28 is a favorite of mine!! I’m so glad we have connected here and continue to keep you in my prayers. Much love and hugs!!πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ’–πŸ’–

      1. Praying for you, too, Vivian. And, thank you, and you are welcome – all glory to God! Oh, absolutely total surrender to His plan is always the best place to be. Amen and Amen! How well I know that.

“Trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” – an old hymn.
