Our Reward

In a hidden realm unknown

Lies surprise to call my home

It will be reward from Him

Precious Savior your love given

When I take my final breath

You with hand outstretched will lift

Gazing into Savior’s face

Knowing love’s undeserved grace

Upwards to the sky we’ll go

Jesus and I together flow

Into paradise of joy

Sickness, pain, sin, death destroy

Eyes will see things never seen

Mouth will gasp, gold shimmering

Colors never knew existed

Hills, skys, Angels, songs consisted

Glorious, triumphant choirs singing

Praises endless worship ringing

Eyes are turning liquid now

Jesus wipes my tear stained brow

All once broken now is whole

Death did nothing to my soul

Passing through to perfect peace

No more fear only relief

Thank you for the gift of heaven

For your lambs who have been broken

May we wait expectantly

For life with Thee eternally

  3. God is listening and giving you words to encourage you and others. Our perspective on how we look at things should change our attitude to proceed in His love, under His trust with Him. When God is at the helm we’re at peace with ourselves. And it shows in this poem of sincere hope. Thank you for that. And you’re very welcome if my own words made you smile. kinder spirits think alike 🙂

      1. Oh Heather! I can only imagine the upheaval emotionally and practically! I’m so sorry. My teenagers are 13, 14 so not driving yet but it scares me. I’m thankful God protected him. My TBI was from a car accident as a 12 year old riding in a van driven by a 17 year old. Praise God for His protective hand on yours. 😯

      2. Wow! This has been his first accident and all things considered, it wasn’t bad. No humans were hurt, though he did take out a mailbox and crack a telephone pole! However, my prayer is that he will listen to God now that he cannot stay busy with his normal activities. Before, he was able to leave school for his last 2 study halls due to having enough credit hours to graduate, but now he has to stick around (I’m certainly not going to get him then turning around to go back and get his sisters!). Good can and will come of it, I’m certain. It’s just very inconvenient right now… and I was already having trouble keeping up! Oh well!

  4. Through your descriptive words, one could actually imagine being there! Can’t wait for this scene to unfold into reality one of these glad mornings! No more trials! Peace and bliss! Seeing the One whom I love and whom loves me! We keep ourselves busy till then in the waiting, by praying for our dear loved ones that they will make things right. Then, the scene will unfold! This reminded me that I need to reshare a few of my stories I wrote on social media. One was about heaven. Thanks for sharing!
