Update On My Mom

What’s up everyone, this is Julia, editor in chief of my mom’s blog. I thought it would be helpful for you all if you knew the whole scoop on the eye problems my mom is having.

She has been experiencing issues with her eyes for almost three weeks now. She is unable to read words on screens or in books because it irritates her eyes and makes her nauseous. Her doctor told her this past Monday that her brain is tired and needs a rest. Therefore she will be taking a short period of time away from her blog to recover and hopefully heal her eyes. There are still some unpublished posts she has that I can post during the interim of her healing. I will be taking the comments she receives from now on, whether I respond to them myself, or write the replies she dictates to me. She is asking you all to be in prayer for her, and she greatly appreciates all the prayers that have already gone up on her behalf. Hopefully this is an affliction that can be mended in time.

Peace out, my friends.

  1. What a blessing you are to your mom. My daughters take good care of me too, and I couldn’t be more proud of them. I bet your mom feels same about you. My prayers are with you both. Belinda

    1. Thanks, Belinda. I’m glad you have daughters to take care of you. Yes, I do think my mom feels that way, haha. 😉 My mom says she hopes she will be able to get to know you once she is better. 😊

  2. Hi Julia – love your title by the way! This was so nice to read, thank you so much for the update. I’m praying, but also know that God’s working on your family, and you’re all incredibly blessed to have one another. God works in mysterious ways, but he’s working on us, all the time. Please tell your mom that I’m thinking of her and am praying for her. 🙂

  5. Dearest Vivian,
I have been delayed finding your news, but now I am adding my Amen and agreement to all your prayers. I am sending up huge thanks for your answered prayer in Julia, and all of your other children, and I am remembering a talk I heard once about a woman who was so unwell, she could not communicate or open her eyes. After her recovery someone asked her how it felt to be so useless? Her response was, “One is never useless when One can still pray. I imagine One is at One’s most useful when that is all they can do! Thus I have not been useless, I believe I have spent my time most usefully indeed.”
Big hugs, beautiful friend, God give you the courage of Joshua.
    Lots of love,
    L

    1. Update: Mom went to the doctor recently. It’s actually not her eyes, it’s her brain. Her doctor said that her eyes are the pathway to her brain, and that it’s her brain that needs to heal right now. It might be a while, just saying. The doctor said there’s a lot of swelling on her head because of changes due to the healing process. Much love from Mom. ❤🤗
