The Word On Monday: God Of Hope🌷

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:13

Present circumstances may appear hopeless at times, but dear ones, cry out in prayer unto God and watch Him fill you with the joy and peace in believing that He will sustain, bless, and keep you as you persevere in hope.

This verse is a favorite of mine. 💚 My mama gave it to me at the darkest point in my healing and I am forever grateful for her wisdom, love and guidance!

This morning, please share with me a specific verse that comes to mind which really helped you through a challenging time of your life. I’d be delighted to hear from you!!💚

Much love,

Viv 🤗

      1. I just stepped out on my porch, it’s kind of chilly out but it’s bright and the birds are singing and it was just like He surrounded me with His presence. He basically told me to keep my faith and trust in Him and keep on going.

      2. Amen!! I feel closer to Him outside too John. Write it down in your journal, and look back daily to remind yourself just what you now told me. He will carry you and never leave or forsake you. One day at a time.

      3. Yep.. you’re pretty old… 😏😁

He gives us daily grace to strengthen us for our trials and challenges. But they strengthen us for our future too!

      4. Amen to that!

“God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”
        ‭‭Nahum‬ ‭1:2-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As powerful and fierce as He can be, and as crazy as this world is getting, He loves us, He wants us and He’s in control of everything.

  1. Isaiah 41:10 is my “go to.” I especially like the NASB translation:

Isaiah 41:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

    ‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

    1. Yes Lily!! Amen! When my daughter and I recite Romans 15:13 we always say Romans 8: 28 next in our recitation. I plan (Lord willing) on doing this verse next week. Thank you so very much dear one!!🤗💖

    2. One of my favorites! It has always proved true in my life even when it took a long time, sometimes years. But when I see how God turned it around for good I am in awe of His attention to me. I am inspired by Joseph. He could have turned against God, but he didn’t! And look how God turned things around for good in his life! Blessings, Viv! I always keep you in my prayers.

      1. Wow Cindy! It’s so wonderful to look back in retrospect and see those promises unfolding and knowing He worked everything out. Even though the good was hard to see at that time. Joseph is an excellent example of trusting in the Lord. Amen! God bless you dear Cindy!!💚💖💚💖

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 King James Version (KJV)

9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

  2. “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish INFINITELY more than we might ask or think” Ephesians 3:20. I have to constantly remind myself that God is God and not to limit His abilities because they are infinite. God bless you, Viv!

  3. Although my relationship with the Lord is an intimate one, as He continues to reveal to me deep and profound truths, and uses me in amazing ways for the Kingdom…I still struggle daily with a “thorn in my flesh.” THESE two scripture verses are my current FAVS! I cling to them in my most humble, vulnerable moments. ~Corinthians 4:6-7
“For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.”

GREAT POST BTW! Thank you! You have blessed me today. 😇

    1. Hi Victoria! Thank you for sharing this verse with me today! I’m looking up 2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 now in my bible. This is a powerful testimony of how God uses his children for His purposes to shine for Him reflecting His light and power not our own. It seems so often that He uses those who are weak and suffer so His power can be displayed in our weakness. It’s so hard to have these “thorns” but thank our Lord for sufficient grace, day by day. He is giving us more of Himself and holding us. What a gift!!🤗

  4. Psalm 18:1-3 is a special verse. Sometimes, I just need to be reminded that God is indeed my rock and the source of my salvation.

Vivian, thanks for sharing the verse from Romans. Apostle Paul writes so well.
