Just Show Up

I’m reading the book “Just Show Up” by Kara Tippets and Jill Lynn Buteyn in the brief moments God gives of restful reprieve while I care for my husband. I want to add that while only 1/3 into reading the book, it resonated with me deeply. If you get a chance to pick up a copy, it would bless you if you are suffering or know of one suffering.

To those of you who have “just shown up” we just want to say we’re forever grateful. We’ve received so many cards, texts, and phone calls of love which have given us courage to face this season of brain cancer one day at a time.

My brave husband continues to fight glioblastoma with very little complaint. He has a MRI this week to see how much his last 2 treatments have helped further dissolve his tumors.

We love you and appreciate your prayers.

Much love,

Viv

  1. Sweet Viv,
I have thought about your family many times over the past six months. My heart aches for you all. I’ve also thought of your mom & dad, Josh & Heather, Mark’s mom & his siblings.
I am glad to hear that Duke had some options for y’all to try. Are you still traveling there? If so how often?

      1. I know it has! There’s a psalm we sometimes sing at church, but it’s along the lines, they attack me from the front, they attack me from the back, but all along you keep your hand over me.
        Gods with you, always. πŸ™πŸ½
