Just Show Up

I’m reading the book “Just Show Up” by Kara Tippets and Jill Lynn Buteyn in the brief moments God gives of restful reprieve while I care for my husband. I want to add that while only 1/3 into reading the book, it resonated with me deeply. If you get a chance to pick up a copy, it would bless you if you are suffering or know of one suffering.

To those of you who have “just shown up” we just want to say we’re forever grateful. We’ve received so many cards, texts, and phone calls of love which have given us courage to face this season of brain cancer one day at a time.

My brave husband continues to fight glioblastoma with very little complaint. He has a MRI this week to see how much his last 2 treatments have helped further dissolve his tumors.

    I have thought about your family many times over the past six months. My heart aches for you all. I’ve also thought of your mom & dad, Josh & Heather, Mark’s mom & his siblings.
    I am glad to hear that Duke had some options for y’all to try. Are you still traveling there? If so how often?

    1. I miss you Cindy. We are hanging on. Mark is very fatigued and sleeps a lot but we’re still fighting the brain tumor. I’m sorry for not posting in so long. My world turned upside-down in March. God’s holding onto us though and we are still trusting in Him. ❤🙏
