What Wolves Are You Fighting? (Tell the story challenge)

When darkness is around you and black howls of night

Remember this gives wolves the chance at a fight

For they can be prowlers and howlers so scary and mean

Those wolves of discouragments trying to get in

They come as shape shifters, to slay and to kill

Discouraging trials against hope and goodwill

Or maybe those wolves come in shapes of real doubt

Doubting God’s goodness within and without

Trials that bite and tear at your heart

Can a kind Father let your good life depart?

Or maybe your wolf is a wolf of unbelief

Thinking your God cares not for your soul’s grief

What now can be happening, you say, I can’t figure

I just slayed one wolf now the pack has grown bigger

A wolf of worry sneaked up on your couch

Sniffing and making you dread all life’s ouch

The big hungry wolf you can’t get out of your hair

The relentless belligerent wolf of despair

He always attacks when you’re not on your feet

Forcing the thoughts that you’re now in defeat

Dear friend, go to God in prayer for this fight

Your strength to slay wolves is because of His might

His word put around as shields to protect you

Those wolves won’t get in, since His promises hold true

God gives you His strength in the darkness of night

Hold on and slay wolves knowing God is your light

Forgiveness

O Lord, let my heart be opened

Unafraid to let others in

Let my healing be a beacon

By your grace it can begin

Let the fears of rejection

Fly to places far

Fill my spirit with courage

To be a child bearing a scar

Unashamed of who I am

I’m yours, worthy of love

Seek to be God’s warrior

These pleas go upward and above

Forgiving insensitive indifference

They may not understand or care

Realizing I am worthy

Because your love is always there

Your continual forgiveness

For you intercede for me

Countlesss sins forgiven

Guilty penalty is now free

Lord, grant the grace to extend

Forgiveness that you provide

To others who have hurt yours

Opened heart with arms held wide

Mold

It’s really bad for your health

A toxin I am told

Those black specks staring on my wall

That stinky black mold

We have had so much rain

It makes me want to bark

I wonder if I should take a hint

And build a wooden ark

Growing up on ceilings, walls,

Every window sill

I need to rid our home from this

It’s making us all ill!!

I’ve tried a number of sprays

Investing in what kills

But those awful black spots

I’ll send them to the hills!

We really don’t want to bleach

It hurts my head you see

Which toxin is worse

Bleach or mold?

Both make me feel woosey

I’ve tried so many natural sprays

They have not worked the best

I really wish that silly mold

Would up and leave as guest

I’m sorry for this woeful poem

But pray I rid this from my home!

If any of you have a idea

Please comment below

And I will see ya!

Hope

Days and nights of endless pain

Moments of reprieve

Speak so softly

Shine the hope

Some day hard times will leave

Moment by moment

Trusting God

Heart feels abundant grace

He reminds

Love never fails

His heart reflects His face

If every day, this world

Challenges my hope

I lift up tears unto my Lord

He always helps me cope

I am learning, growing, seeking

Trusting every day

Jesus is the answer

His voice will guide my way

Our Reward

In a hidden realm unknown

Lies surprise to call my home

It will be reward from Him

Precious Savior your love given

When I take my final breath

You with hand outstretched will lift

Gazing into Savior’s face

Knowing love’s undeserved grace

Upwards to the sky we’ll go

Jesus and I together flow

Into paradise of joy

Sickness, pain, sin, death destroy

Eyes will see things never seen

Mouth will gasp, gold shimmering

Colors never knew existed

Hills, skys, Angels, songs consisted

Glorious, triumphant choirs singing

Praises endless worship ringing

Eyes are turning liquid now

Jesus wipes my tear stained brow

All once broken now is whole

Death did nothing to my soul

Passing through to perfect peace

No more fear only relief

Thank you for the gift of heaven

For your lambs who have been broken

May we wait expectantly

For life with Thee eternally

Don’t Believe The Lie

Don’t believe the lie

That you’re not good enough

That you’re not smart enough

That you don’t give enough

That you don’t try enough

Don’t believe the lie

That no one cares enough

That your heart feels too much

That you aren’t worth enough

That you are not enough

These lies don’t stem from truth

They come from doubts and fears

These lies will hold you back

Ripping away years

Evil One would have you think

Lies are really truth

He hisses lies in ears

Early from one’s youth

Grab onto Word of God

He speaks truth and thus

Read His book and find

With Jesus you’re enough!

Jesus says you are

Priceless, treasured, loved

Feed your mind these thoughts

Truth from God above
